Client Advertising and CV Download Code of Ethics:
MedicalCareers are committed to upholding the high ethical and best practice standards espoused within the industry standards. Attached is a guideline to the DO’s and DON’T’s when creating and managing your adverts on our portal. All adverts should strictly comply with prevailing legislation.
As Such, all clients are requested to refrain from:
- Including any discriminatory information such as race, gender, sexual orientation, age or comments relating to looks. If the position does have specific inherent or demographic requirements that are compliant with the Employment Equity Act, then ensure that this is articulated.
- Advertise positions that don’t exist in an attempt to “build your database”. If you are simply looking to increase your candidate database, rather have a generic advert that explains that you’d be interested in hearing from candidates with a particular skill for possible future positions.
- You should always regret applicants as soon as you know they are not suitable or as soon as the position is filled or no longer available.
- It is NOT acceptable to forward a candidate CV without their express permission as this is not only a violation of the APSO code but it is also not compliant with the Protection of Personal Information Act.
- It is illegal to charge for any application being advertised on our portal or to advertise for the sole purpose of soliciting candidates email addresses or telephone numbers.
- Although the client has unlimited access to the MedicalCareers database for CV downloads, MedicalCAreers employs a strict monitoring protocol to ensure that the database is not abused. Any such breaches by the client will result in an immediate termination of the client contract.
This disclaimer constitutes the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of our website, and supersedes all previous agreements in respect of your use of this website.
