Main purpose and responsibilities:

This global Medical Services provides a 24 hour medical advisory and worldwide repatriation and evacuation service. As part of a recent expansion to our service, we are undertaking a contact tracing service for a large multinational company. The role involves contact tracing for our clients’ employee’s, based in the UK and EU regions, who are confirmed/possible Covid-19 cases, or close contacts of confirmed Covid-19 cases. As part of this role you would be required to conduct telephone assessments, perform return to work assessments and write clear notes on the case management system.  You must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

  • Performing telephone assessments of Covid cases
  • Performing return to work assessments
  • Accurately recording and updating notes on the case management system
  • Responding promptly to client requests
  • Escalating sick and complicated cases appropriately.


  • At all times act in a professional, polite and courteous manner towards others
  • Act in a collaborative manner, yet provide clear decision making skills in consultation with other members of the team
  • Ensure written communication is legible, relevant, objective and accurate
  • Comply with the group policies and procedures Comply with the company’s International Policy Guidelines of Confidentiality and maintain confidentiality of staff, patients, clients and the company


  • Recognise when workload becomes unmanageable and effectively utilise available resources to ensure continuity of case management

Group Compliance Requirements:

There are various compliance requirements that all group employees are required  to  abide by;  given this role overlaps with regulated parts of the business the job holder will be required to:

Ensure compliance in relation to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations.

  • Abide by the Company’s Treating Customers Fairly policy and guidelines.
  • Adhere to all internal policies and processes relating to regulatory or compliance requirements.

As well as:

  • Comply with the Company’s IT and data security policy and ISO27001 requirements.
  • Comply with Data Protection requirements to ensure confidentiality of affairs.

The job holder may be required to attend further training/seminars/workshops and or gain accreditations in relation to the above compliance requirements, all of which will form part of the Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s) and Continuing Professional Development Plan (CPD) for the role and the job holder.

Requirements, background, skills (hours, travel etc.):

We are looking for an experienced nurse with prior knowledge of working with Covid patients. Ideally the suitable candidate will have excellent assessment skills and has experience in remote assessments i.e. over the phone/video call. It is vital that you are able to work independently.

In addition some, or all, the following areas of expertise would be desirable:

  • Language skills, in particular primary European languages; French, German or Spanish.
  • A calm, diplomatic open style and approach, with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • PC skills with good knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Proactive approach to work and analytical problem solving skills.
  • The ability to plan and organise own workload, and work well under pressure.
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
