The FRA Head will ensure thatches multinational pharmaceutical company is provided with effective and efficient finance services, ensuring quality of financial accounting and management information for internal/external reporting. These services are delivered in a way that effective decision making throughout the company is supported and compliance with Internal Accounting Standards, local legislation and statutory requirements is ensured.

Major Accountabilities

  • Liaising with all Shared Services Centres to ensure proper management of Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-cash (O2C), Treasury and Cash Management (TCM) and Taxation processes.
    • Ensures proper, timely accounting services are provided to deliver:
    o Monthly; quarterly and annual reporting to Cluster and Regional Offices
    o Monitor and manage the outsourced and offshored processes/activities ensuring a high quality and compliant services, in accordance with agreed and documented SLAs/KPIs.
    o Provide financial support to the CFO to meet corporate governance duties.
    • Ensure financial compliance/SOX 404 attestation by building/maintaining an appropriate control framework
    o Prepare quarterly SOX 302 disclosure reports for the entity
    o Oversee and manage relationships with internal and external auditors
    o supports FRA Ops Financial Control and Compliance teams in their review activity
    • Liaise with Technical Accounting for complex accounting to confirm booking or seeking advice and prepare Accounting Positions Papers/Memos.
    • Manage transfer pricing process to ensure appropriate entity profitability and proposed transfer pricing adjustments.

    • Internal customer satisfaction with quality, appropriateness and timeliness of financial reporting
    • Process KPI’s (P2P, O2C etc.)
    • Accuracy of actual reporting


Minimum requirements


  •  Bachelor’s or 4-year university degree required in Finance or related field
    • Chartered Accountant (South Africa) or equivalent
    • Minimum 5 – 8 years of prior relevant experience in FRA or Financial Management (Full Finance Function).
    • Strong experience in financial reporting, IFRS, technical accounting and taxation
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to communicate and provide high context information for senior management and regional office
    • Experience collaborating in a cross-functional team environment.
    • Being flexible to changes in business environment.
    • Strong financial compliance and controls.
