National Sales Manger (Surgery and Woundcare)

A medical devices company is looking to recruit a  national manager to coach and direct the activities of the business and sales team.

By adopting operational and strategic plans they strive to keep the business productive, efficient, and organized always.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver sales performance and Brand Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to meet or exceed national sales strategies.

Optimize resource utilization by leading, developing, and coaching sales performance including:

  • Setting of sales targets and incentive schemes
  • Ensuring optimal Targeting and Segmentation of key accounts and defining targets for sales force effectiveness.
  • In-field team coaching to drive sales performance and sales team development.
  • Through coaching and in-field observations, identify gaps in sales force competencies and behaviours and facilitate development, while responsibility and accountability for development rests with the individual.
  • Facilitate, develop, and implement national and local tactical / operational plans that are aligned with brand strategy to optimize strategic momentum.
  • Professionally manage and build cross-functional cooperation between KOL’s, build effective multi-disciplinary strategies, and ensure timely and qualitative market intelligence information flow between the Brand and In-field Teams to optimize brand strategy and its execution.
  • Proactively and continuously aspire to serve KOL’s needs, expectations and challenges to build trusted relationship that are mutually beneficial.
  • Monitor and consolidate market value drivers, sales team performance, customer plans and infield insights and ensure that information reaches the Marketing and Product Team to inform the brand planning process as well as product supply and demand.
  • Attend and participate in congresses across all wound care areas.

  • Displays a high-level understanding of the medical device market combined with a robust comprehension of market trends enabling him/her to anticipate optimal business decisions in a triple win approach.
  • Thorough understanding of the Brand strategy (rational, value, key objectives) enabling him/her to translate the Brand strategy simply and clearly in concrete high-level execution of integrated plans.
  • Supports and guides the representative on making the appropriate adjustments in terms of strategies and tactics for maximizing business opportunities.
  • Encourages and ensures efficient practice sharing among team members.

  • Proactively raises opportunity and threats with ideas around possible actions to take.
