A medical devices company is looking to recruit a  sales manager to coach and direct the activities of the sales team.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver sales performance and Brand Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to meet or exceed  sales strategies.

Optimize resource utilization by leading, developing, and coaching sales performance including:

    • Setting of sales targets and incentive schemes
    • Ensuring optimal Targeting and Segmentation of key accounts and defining targets for sales force effectiveness.
    • Hands-on in-field team coaching to drive sales performance and sales team development.
    • Through coaching and in-field observations, identify gaps in sales force competencies and behaviours and facilitate development, while responsibility and accountability for development rests with the individual.
    • Facilitate, develop, and implement national and local tactical/operational plans that are aligned with brand strategy to optimize strategic momentum.
    • Professionally manage and build cross-functional cooperation between KOL’s, build effective multi-disciplinary strategies, and ensure timely and qualitative market intelligence information.
    • Proactively and continuously aspire to serve KOL’s needs, expectations and challenges to build trusted relationships that are mutually beneficial.
    • Monitor and consolidate market value drivers, sales team performance, customer plans and infield insights and ensure that information reaches the Marketing and Product Team to inform the brand planning process as well as product supply and demand.
    • Attend and participate in congresses.

    Skills / Competency

    • Strong ability to be proactive and anticipate change, rather than being reactive to changes after they occur.
    • Displays a high-level understanding of the medical device market and the theatre-selling environment.
    • Supports and guides the representative in making the appropriate adjustments in terms of strategies and tactics for maximizing business opportunities.
    • Encourages and ensures efficient practice sharing among team members.
    • Business Acumen
    • Preferably knowledge of the orthopaedic market and established contacts.
    • Proactively raises opportunities and threats with ideas around possible actions to take.
