A multinational pharmaceutical company has an opportunity for and experienced Trade Marketing Manager:-



The trade marketing manager oversees all trade marketing activities for the business, considering marketing and sales drivers. The trade marketing manager also oversees all themerchandising activities, including the management of our merchandising agency and thegoals, activities, and performance of merchandising reps.

Trade Marketing structure supports marketing strategies and sales activities as a “bridge”between both areas with full knowledge about channels, customers, shopper, and POS.

Based in Johannesburg


  • Create a trade marketing strategy and communicating this to the marketing and sales team
  • Look for new opportunities and GTM’ s which could enhance sales and professionalizechannels
  • Leadership skills for managing and motivating a team of trade marketing professionals
  • Understanding shopper journey and POS dynamics
  • Execute the trade marketing plan across the regions and monitor results
  • Driving brand awareness across various categories products and channels
  • Attend and present at trade shows and events on behalf of the business
  • Coordinate the creation and delivery of marketing materials and content
  • Reporting on sell out data relating to channels, customers, and categories
  • Creating trade marketing plans for individual products and product
  • Creating a merchandising plan for group of stores/regions
  • Manage the Merchandise Agency
  • Manage merchandising teams, setting detailed training the team andmeasuring and reinforcing our goals and compliance rules


  • Business Administrator or Marketing
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with Trade Marketing (planning and execution) in big companies, managing top brands in the market
  • Marketing background would be preferred
  • Previous experience working as a trade marketing manager ideally within a related category
  • Experience working with merchandising agency and teams and developing merchandisingplans
  • Strong commercial outlook and an ability to drive revenue growth through marketing
  • Highly motivated and passionate about trade marketing
